Many of you know, that an engineer from Apple “accidentally” lost an iPhone 4 prototype. Gizmodo bought it, for about $5000, but had to return it to Apple, shortly later.

Supposedly (as reported by Gizmodo) there will be:

  • Front-facing camera
  • Improved back camera
  • Camera flash (back-camera)
  • Improved display
  • Possibly, a secondary mic for noise cancellation (like the Nexus One)
  • Split buttons for volume

Also, the back in entirely flat, possibly made with glass, ceramic, or shiny plastic.  The best part, a 16% larger battery (great for multitasking in iPhone OS 4!)  The internal parts are smaller, which is good, but still weighs 3 grams more than the 3GS.

I like most of the new design, some features I like of the 3GS more, like the overall look of it.  I like how the 3GS is smoother.  But, who knows? Maybe Apple will actually listen to people’s opinions, and change them before they release it?  That would actually be a good idea.
