While it is expected that the Chromebooks will be on sale on June 15 on Amazon.com and at Best Buys in the United States, there is an exception. On Jule 1, Google sent out emails to some of the users interested in the Cr-48 pilot program informing them that they can join a “limited time” sale on a high-end discount site Guilt. In the Guilt webstore, Chromebooks are being sold for a limited time paired with a limited edition sleeve designed by Rickshaw. Specifically, the Chromebooks are the Samsung Series 5 netbooks running the Chrome Operating System. While Google is selling the Chromebooks early on Guilt, it is only limited to those who received the email. In our two email test accounts, both accounts received the email informing about the Chromebooks being on sale at Guilt, so it looks like most users who requested for the Cr-48 pilot program received the email.

Though Google is selling the netbooks early, it is only for those who received the email. It is currently unknown of the amount of the Chomebooks Google is selling.
