Google Turns 12

It is time again to bring out the cake and balloons, Google today celebrates its 12th birthday. Google’s normal multi-color logo today was replaced with a birthday cake. This cake was painted for Google by Wayne Thiebaud.

Wayne Thiebaud is famous for his elegant cake designs and other everyday objects that he creates into pop art.

Google also wanted to make certain that users knew that today, September 27, is Google’s offical birthday. The Google domain was bought on, September 15, 1997. So it is only fair to day that the 27th would be a good day to declare its birthday taking into account how long it took to launch Google.

Google has made many leaps and bounds in the IT world and they have increased the presence and need for technology. So we take Google for that and wish them the very happiest of birthdays.
