Hotmail Starts Off the New Year By Loosing E-mails

Microsoft Hotmail is starting the new year with a bang. On the first day of 2011, Hotmail users report that emails were either majority of their emails being sent to their deleted mail folders or even mails disappearing off their account. It is currently unclear how widespread the problem is. With over 476 pages in Microsoft forums complaining about the issue, Microsoft said in numerous threads that they know the issue and are working on a patch to fix the issue. Microsoft spokeswoman Catherine Brooker says, “At this point it appears to be a limited issue, and Microsoft is working with individual users who are impacted. We apologize for any inconvenience to our customers,” although not disclosing a reason what caused the glitch0. It is currently unknown on how long till a patch is released.
