What's Inside A Hard Drive?

Have you ever wondered what was inside of a hard drive? I know I have, for the longest time I never had the spare hardware or necessary tools to be able to open one up. But, lucky for me I have the necessary tools and spare hardware now to do it.

The two hard drives that I’m taking apart are from old computers that have had hard drive failures. Since there are two main types of hard drives, 3.5″ desktop drives and 2.5″ laptop drives we’ll be taking a look at both and what differences they have.
